So, for a Christmas present, I just received a bunch of books on how to use 3D studio max. Soon, the same people intend to give me a copy of 3D studio max.
Now, on my own I would never have thought to use 3DSM. But here's what's cool. I still have a lot of practice that I want to do with my regular, 2D, photoshopped art. I kinda pulled those books out of the wrapping and thought, "Oh... here's something I'll never use."
BUT I just had a curious idea. Because I'm such a poor colorist/shader, I can actually use 3DSM to figure out realistic lighting and color!
